Half tan polished calf and marbled boards; 4 slightly raised bands with gilt particulars to spine and morocco labels in red and blue. All edges marbled; marbled endpapers. Each volume contains preface and introductory notes by Scott, originally published in the first edition of this set. Contains editorial notes throughout. Attractive 24 volume complete set in very good condition. Titles include, but are not limited to: Guy Mannering, Fair Maid of Perth, Heart of Mid-Lothian, Woodstock, St. Ronan's Well, Black Dwarf, Old Mentality, Ivanhoe, Redgauntlet, Kenilworth, Abbot, and many others. Each 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches.
