THE WORKS, [2 VOLS]: Pp. [30], 408 with folding frontispiece portrait by George Vertue. Published at the age of 29, and although it read vol. 1, it was actually a stand-alone, ESTC - T5389; Vol. 2: Pp. (irregular pagination, though complete with register continuous), [16] includes half-title, title-page printed in black and red and with engraved vignette, separate title-page for "An Essay on Man, Being the First Book of Ethic Epistles. To Henry St. John, L. Bolingbroke dated 1734 with engraved vignette, 66, 19, [24]-33, [6]-[26], [35]-72, [4], [1]-56, 65-91, [1]-12, [1]-17, 81, [1]-201, errata, with numerous engravecd vignettes and typographical ornaments, due to a blunder in the composing room sig. L1 (p. 43/44) repeats the contents of sig. K2 (p. 43/44) so one leaf had to be discarded. In this copy K2 is retained and there is a stub where L1 was excised. ESTC - T5390.
