Published as a New Edition this is the rather rare iftht volume of a ten volume set, "The Works of Francis Bacon," .The front cover board is missing. There is considerable wear to the spine: The pages are in very good condition with light age toning; no foxing or tears. However, many pages have marginal notations in pencil. The leather covering is loose and there is a inch missing from the top of the spine. Back cover has relatively light shelf wear. covers (they appear to be leather on board) and spine. Small "Ascension Library" stamped on the first endpaper, the title page, and the bottom of page 45. The number 1095 inked on the verso of the title page. Text is in English.
