London: John Murray, 1838. Book. Good+ (Book Condition). Half Leather. A nice set with brown leather spines and corners; hand-marbled paper over boards, and hand-marbled endpapers and edges. Raised bands, gilt lettering, and exquisite blind-tooling to spines. Rubbing to boards. Leather brittle at hinges, but covers still firmly attached, and pages tightly bound throughout. Rubbing to corners, and some loss to spine labels of Vol. III. A lovely set. [Our rating system: 1. Fine; 2. Near Fine; 3. Very Good; 4. Good; 5. Fair.].
