Bound in full brown morocco by Stikeman & Co., with their gilt mark to the front pastedowns. Boards with single rule with an elegant design in the corners within a double rule within a triple rule. Board edges with a gilt roll, turn-ins with a quad gilt rule. Paneled spines elegantly stamped in gilt. Top edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Some light intermittent wear, primarily to hinges, head and tails of spines. Front board of volume eight partially detached. With photogravure illustrations by Frederick Simpson Coburn and Gustave Doré with printed tissue guards. Centenary Edition of 1,000 copies, with this copy being out of series.
