Chicago: Reilly & Lee, 1940. First Edition. Decorated Boards. Very Good/No Jacket. John R. Neill. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 1st Edition, 1st state. Double page illustration p.292-3 printed correctly, chapter number & heading printed inward to hinge p. 306-318. Bound in light blue cloth with full colour plate to front board. Illustrated throughout in black & white, with illustrative endpages. Light wear to outer extremities. Slight bump to upper & lower edges of front board. Hinges neatly repaired. Light soiling to spine. Pages show some age darkening. Signatures started, however, binding is still nice & tight. Name in pencil to "this book belongs to" page.
