Color pictorial endpapers; 18 full color and 16 b&w illustrations. Bookplate on front fixed endpaper. Corners and spine ends a tad rubbed, else a fine copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (slight chipping to spine ends and corners, closed small tears at bottom right corner of rear panel, rear cover lightly soiled).
First edition. The story of a Norwegian boy growing up between the world wars, who learns about freedom and the value of defending it, eventually growing up to be a WWII flyer.
