Adelaide, published by E.S. Wigg, 12 Ruddle Street, 1867.. FIRST EDITION 1867. 8vo approximately 215 x 135 mm, 8½ x 5 ½ inches, 8 small text illustrations at rear, pages: viii, 1-234, rebound at sometime in wine coloured cloth with an early printed label mounted on upper cover, yellow endpapers. Pale age-browning to title page and a few pages at front and rear, occasional pale spot or stain, not affecting text, tiny repair to edge of 1 lower margin, not affecting text, pale vertical stain in the inner margin of first free endpaper, paper label slightly chipped at edges, otherwise a good clean tight copy. See: James M. Gabler, Wine into Words, pages 154-155, No. G26120; "Dr Kelly was born in Leith Scotland and received his doctorate in medicine. Due to health problems he emigrated to South Australia in 1840 and began a medical practice at Port Adelaide.
