Later half-polished calf binding with original boards, title label, gilt to the spine which has five raised bands; binding very good, boards worn and rubbed. Contents good and tight and complete, title paged foxed and a little worn to edges, the first few maps are more heavily worn but the majority are very good: world map and mercators chart with paper repairs to the central folds and to tears and chips at edges, mercantors chart remounted at gusset; map of Europe repaired to inner gutter; map of britain with some loss to inner margin and lower outer margin, but only a small part of the south west of ireland missing, map of England and Wales finger soiled to edges; otherwise maps with a little offsetting, colours generally muted, the odd mariginal tear or nick, some edges with finger soiling. Overall a good/very good complete copy in a very good strong binding.. Second Edition. Half Leather. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. Folio (29 x 35cm).
