The first edition. Author's presentation copy to his friends with an inscription to the front free endpaper; "For Tony and Sheila- A little post-party reading-from Julian". This crime novel was written by British crime writer and poet. The work tells the story of Tony Scott Williams who dreams of becoming rich, and the lengths he will go to make those dreams a reality, even if it leads to murder. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally excellent with a minor mark to the tail of the front board. The odd spot to the endpapers with the author's inscription in ink to the front free endpaper. The wrap is smart with loss to the head of the spine, edge wear and slight marks. Internally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with the odd spot. Spotting to the fore edge. Fine
