London: Humphrey Milford No date specified - inscription reads "Christmas 1929". Green spine, cardboard pictorial boards, 28 un-numbered pages including black, white and red illustrations on a green background. "Printed by Thos. Forman and Sons, Nottingham, England." Previous owner's inscription on ffep, child's scribbles in green along bottom edge of front paste-down, pages darkened and well thumbed, cracked at second page, several illustrations have bled through the page, a child has coloured in the bow in one illustration, and added a red check mark on eight others. Overall, poor. A tattered but interesting example of Aldin's beautiful art work.. Hard Cover. Poor/No DJ. Illus. by Aldin, Cecil. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
