[24] pp. Color frontispiece of a United States flag, title page printed in black and red ink, first page of text decorated with red stripes and blue stars at top; text clean, unmarked. Gilt-stamped leather, patterned end papers; binding square and tight. Fine. Printed directly from type by Charles Young at the Norman Press in Chicago, bound by Bela Blau, designed by Norman W. Forgue. This is a reprint of an editorial that appeared in The New York Times on June 14, 1940. Forgue never graduated from high school, but his intelligence, creativity and hard work earned him a reputation as one of the finest printers in the mid-west in the mid-twentieth century.
