Metropolitan Baptist Church is a large, historically African American church which now describes itself as multicultural. Stories on the internet suggest that the church got caught in the recent credit crunch, having sold their DC church building and then finding that financing for an ambitious comples in Largo, Maryland had evaporated. Largo is an unincorporated area in Prince George's County which, according to Wikipedia, is 92% African American.
