About This Item
Waverley or 'Tis Sixty Years Since by Sir Walter Scott, Bart. [Waverley Novels Pocket Edition Volume I] Hardback, 1873, published by Adam and Charles Black, London, xxi + 398 pages.
Octavo/8vo, measures around 6 1/2" by 41/4" by 1". Green cloth binding, gilt lettering with black letter and detail to front board and spine. A little marking and scuffing to binding but quite clean, colouring still vivid and looks very good for age. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges. Slightly bumped corners. Slackness to binding, frontispiece partially detached though remainder of contents reasonably tight. Page edges browned, scuffed, slightly foxed and a bit marked. A little marking to endpapers, previous owner name and date on half-title page. The odd mark to page surfaces but otherwise clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
