A reprint of the 1945 original. Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for ex-military library stamp on title page and inner front wrap. Book Condition: Fine. No DJ. Pictorial card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in wraps. 119 pp 8vo, with fold-out map. After establishing the Salerno beachhead and capturing Naples, American forces pushed the German Army across the Volturno River and into the mountain defenses of the Winter Line. The actions of the VI Corps are narrated in detail in this the second phase of the Italian Campaign that won 20-60 miles in depth across the Italian peninsula up to the defenses of the German Winter Line. A clean very presentable copy.
