Fribourg: Henrici Ignatii Nicomedis Hautt,. Good with no dust jacket. 1741. First Edition. Leather. [11] ff, 370 pp, [6] ff. Octavo measuring 8.5" x 6.5". Title page red and black, full page engraving of St. Francis at frontis. Decorated throughout with woodcut initials, chapter marks, etc. In what may be original leather boards, new leather spine with 5 raised bands. Corners are a little rubbed and bumped, some crackling to the leather. End papers were added some time in the 1800s are are quite a splashy red marbled affair. Old seminary library book plate. Title page has bottom edge neatly cut off, just below the printer and date. Some normal institutional library marks . Paper is toned but clean and unmarked, a faint smell of tobacco pipe if you don't mind that. Binding is tight. In Latin. A life of Saint Francis, in verse. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 370 pages .
