The top center of the front inside flap of the dust jacket is printed the original price in the middle of the flap : "U.S. $24.95/Canada $37.95". With "scotoma" misspelled as "skitoma" on page 243, not corrected before the 6th printing and with "Lyon" instead of "Lille" on page 152. A true first edition -- not the smaller book club edition! No writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. The book may have been read but is in near mint condition with no mentionable flaws. Dust jacket is not price-clipped and is also in near mint condition. There is a pinhead-sized mar on the back cover, but there is no scuffing or shelf wear to speak of.
