Harper & Brothers, 1856. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1856. 6th London Edition. 568 pages. Full bound brown leather. Book has been rebound. Slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting, boards are loose. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Heavier to endpapers and pastedowns. Water staining to gutters to first few pages, text remains unaffected. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Area of loss to top of spine with tears to leather. Staining to front board.
