The classic work on military strategy, the author presenting his views that air power and air technology is the critical component in modern warfare, espeically the use of strategic bombing, surveying the history of aerial warfare, specific usages of bombing techniques during the 20th century European world wars and elsewhere, and related matters; contains glossy b/w illustrations. Edition and printing not given. Hardcover with dust jacket, 354pp., d.j. shows considerable general edgewear with foxing and chipping along spine, staining to rear flap, and small tears; jacket encased in an acid-free Brodart plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
