London: B T Batsford Ltd, 1970. Second Impression. Brown Cloth. Very Good Plus/Good Plus. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. IInscribed By Author. Inscribed By Author Type: Presentation Copy Contains 208 b/w photographic plates with supportive text. Introduction and commentary by John Betjeman. Inscription by John Betjeman to the front end paper reading ' A Batsford book for Granon (?) and Framu (?)with love from John' . Gilt embossed lettering to the spine. Slight bump to the head and tail of the spine and slight rubbing to the board corners. Clean and tight. Original dust wrapper not price clipped. Rubbing, creasing and several tiny niks to the wrapper edges and a couple of short tears of no more than 1.2 cm also from the edges, now repaired with acid free archival tape to the reverse of the wrapper. There is staining to the reverse of the wrapper, in no way affecting the boards of the book. Despite the shelf wear the wrapper remians complete. A very good copy.
