Printed in Philadelphia by J.B. Lippincott & Co. Small dark green cloth covered boards with gilt titling on spine. Book is in acceptable condition. Front hinge is torn but boards are still secure. Pages are secure but do show slight checking from age. Several hand written names plus front name has location which i believe says Louieville on front and rear endpapers, 450 pages........ Field manuals like this one were issued to company officers for the purpose of training the various volunteer units raised to fight the war. These books were taken where ever the regiment was sent so they are found in less than pristine condition and some worse then others. Most book has the names of the officer in charge handwritten and some like this one has several names probably because command was passed to a replacement.......
