Original brown hardcover cloth binding with gilt lettering and decoration on the spine and front cover with minimal shelfwear. Minor spotting to the rear cover. The top edge of the closed page edges is coated in gilt, with the other page edges deckled. Approximately one dozen pages have small spots of brown foxing to the page edges or margins. Previous owner's bookplate neatly affixed to the inside front cover. Contains illustrations by Lynn Bogue Hunt, Edgar Burke, William J. Schaldach, Bert Cobb, and others. Limited to 850 copies. The text is clean and unmarked. First edition..
