DJ has some wear, soiling, edge tears and chips. Some front board weakness noted. Madhav Vittal Kamath (7 September 1921 - 9 October 2014) was an Indian journalist and broadcasting executive, and the chairman of Prasar Bharati. He worked as the editor of The Sunday Times for two years from 1967 to 1969, and as Washington correspondent for The Times of India from 1969 to 1978. He also served as editor of The Illustrated Weekly of India. Kamath began his career as a journalist with The Free Press Journal in Mumbai in 1946. In 2009, Mr. Kamath co-authored a book with Kalindi Randeri titled 'Narendra Modi: The Architect of a Modern State'. When Mr. Modi rose to take centre stage in national politics, a newer version of the book came out as 'The Man of the Moment: Narendra Modi.' He had also authored nearly 50 books on various topics. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan award in 2004 The story of India-US relations for the last 200 years has a glowing history of cultural, academic and scientific cooperation. This has been accompanied by the urge to overcome differences of perception and to raise the level of political understanding to greater heights. Our shared commitment to democracy, secularism and rule of law and the linkages established through the presence of 1.2 million strong community of Indian origin people, provide a firm foundation for a meaningful development of our relations. There is much that draws the US and India closer together - shared values, mutually-beneficial partnership between growing economies, and above all, vibrant and talented populations, that can interact in every field of human endeavor and make for a truly exciting partnership for the 21st Century. From India's point of view, we look forward to a better understanding of India's concerns in the security, defence, economic and social areas. All that draws US and India closer together is real. It exists.
