Synopsis
Under the Sea Wind (1941) is the first book by Rachel Carson. Originally published by Simon & Schuster, it received very good reviews but sold poorly in its first edition. After Carson's success with The Sea Around Us (1951), Under the Sea Wind was republished by Oxford University Press; this edition became a bestseller and was an alternate Book-of-the-Month Club selection.

It perfectly describes the booksellers at Else Fine, who have been dealing in used and rare books for over 25 years. We specialize in science fiction, interesting ephemera, books on books, radical literature and history, Pacific Northwest Americana, literature, and whatever else catches our eye.
