Original gilt decorated red cloth, top edge gilt (spine faded and light wear on upper board - otherwise bright VG in protective cover). Pp. vi + 576, illus with coloured frontispiece and b&w plates and drawings in text by J. Lockwood Kipling and W.H. Drake (previous owner's neat inscription on front free endpaper).
