London: W. Heinemann 1899. Red Boards are dull with black lettering and gilt lettering on spine. End pages toned. Binding sound and the whole near fine for its age. Tissue in fine condition still protects frontis. Clearly a first edition first printing although nothing is stated. "With 100 illustrations (of which about 24 are full plates and the rest text illustrations) and a mapshowinf routes from the sea, Lynn Canal, across the Chilkoot and White Pass Trails to the Lakes, whence there is a continuous waterway to Dawson.

From The start of the rush, the goldfields, the passes (hunting and fishing, Indian, means of travel, Dawson.) Note dullness of scan yet this is probably the best copy on offer anywhere. Highly collectible 273pp 24 full-page plates and 76 sketches. Tissue-protected frontis. Map. Gold rush, Very good. No dust jacket as published. Original red boards, completely undamaged, Gilt on spine. Untrimmed pages. Toned end pages. Tight binding. Very good corners with just one very minor bump
