Minimal wear to corners, small smudge and some scuffing on spine resulting in minor loss of color from palm tree decoration. 1916 Hard Cover. 268 pp. 8vo. 5 pages of publisher ads bound in following text. Eight short works written in Hawaii, published a few months before London's death. The title of the final two stories in the collection may indicate that London knew his life was coming to a close soon. Includes: By the Turtles of Tasman; The Eternity of Forms; Told in the Drooling Ward; The Hobo and the Fairy; The Prodigal Father; The First Poet; Finis; The End of the Story.
