About This Item
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1916. First Edition. Good+ in its original brown cloth covered boards with gilt text on the spine and with light yellow and gilt text on the front board over a black illustration of a palm tree with a setting sun in the background. A small octavo of 7 1/2 by 5 inches with the cloth at the head and heel of the spine lightly worn, four small blotches of what appears to be white paint on the spine, some of the white text on the front board is rubbed and there is a prior owner's name and date of "Nov. 3, 1916" at the upper edge of the first free end page. 268 pages of text followed by five pages of ads for other books by London. (BAL, 11968; Sissen/Martens, p90)
