About This Item

London: The Bodley Head, 1985 . First edition. Paperback. Fine/Very Good Indeed. 8.5" by 5.5". None. An exceedingly scarce uncorrected proof copy of this work by David Rains Wallace, in the striking, unclipped dust wrapper. The uncorrected, proof copy of the work, published in 1985 for wider publication in May 1986. In the publisher's original yellow paper wraps, with the original, prototype dust wrapper. Written by American author David Rains Wallace, who is known for his works on conservation and natural history. 'The Turquoise Dragon' was Wallace's debut into fiction. This novel tells the story of George Kilgore, a forester living in the foothills of California's Klamath Mountain, who stumbles upon danger and intrigue when he discovers the body of a murdered biologist friend. In the publisher's original yellow paper wraps, with the original, unclipped proof dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with very minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is very smart, with light edge wear, mainly to the head and tail of the spine, with light creasing and the odd handling mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Fine
