P.F. Volland & Co., Chicago. 1920, Sixteenth Edition. Short Christmas 1925 inscription in black ink on half-title, clean otherwise. Binding strong. Bump to rear board corner, minor rubbing/edgewear, some fading to illustrated paper covered boards. Sunned spine rubbed at ends (a little more at heel). Removable transparent dust cover. Front and rear illustrated endpapers and pastedowns different. Charmingly illustrated throughout by Janet Laura Scott in color, several full page, one double page featuring an insect band, moths, butterflies, fireflies, a cricket, frogs and beetles. One of the Volland "Nature Children Books". Lovely book, unpaginated.
