Circa 1945 MCA Records 8" x 10" glossy publicity photograph of "The Three Suns," popular musical trio formed in 1939 by brothers Al and Morty Nevins and cousin Artie Dunn. The Three Suns wrote and scored their first big number "Twilight Time" in 1944, at the time a purely instrumental track. Later, legendary songwriter and producer Buck Ram wrote lyrics for the tune and made it into a huge Platters hit, selling over 4 million copies and winning a Gold Record. The Suns brought suit for copyright infringement but lost, succeeding only in having their names added to the writing credits. The photo is inscribed and signed to "The Bachelors," a popular trio of the day formed by Ralph Wolf in 1944. Vinyl LP of six Montreal Poets - A.J.M. Smith, Irving Layton, Louis Dudek, Leonard Cohen, F.R.Scott and A.M. Klein. Very good in protective sleeve. Descriptive brochure with notes laid in. Plays okay, with some surface noise. This is one of the first pressing with F.R. Scott's name incorrect on the label, which was corrected later. Scarce.

A fine copy ( Cover & LP ) of this lecture at Rutgers University. Apparently not published in her collected writings. Scarce.

This listing is for a 1997 CD produced by Rhino Entertainment of Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner's classic comedy routine "The 2000 Year Old Man in the Year 2000." This CD was signed without inscription by both Mel and Carl at an event hosted by Book Soup in West Hollywood CA. Condition is as new.
