Description:
MCA Music Corporation Of America, NY, . Circa 1945 MCA Records 8" x 10" glossy publicity photograph of "The Three Suns," popular musical trio formed in 1939 by brothers Al and Morty Nevins and cousin Artie Dunn. The Three Suns wrote and scored their first big number "Twilight Time" in 1944, at the time a purely instrumental track. Later, legendary songwriter and producer Buck Ram wrote lyrics for the tune and made it into a huge Platters hit, selling over 4 million copies and winning a Gold Record. The Suns brought suit for copyright infringement but lost, succeeding only in having their names added to the writing credits. The photo is inscribed and signed to "The Bachelors," a popular trio of the day formed by Ralph Wolf in 1944. The inscription, in Morty Nevins’ hand, reads, "To The Bachelors: Good luck to a fine trio. Sincerely, Al, Artie, Morty." It was Morty Nevins who wrote "Twilight Time." Brother Al later teamed up with Don…

As New/None, As Issued. First Edition/First Printing. 1 pages. Rare Mouth Band, contemporary graphic design, and post-punk collectible item. Mouth Band's debut vinyl record. The record album cover is very beautifully (and unobtrusively) framed in handmade black matte finish metal of the highest quality. The album itself is complete, with the pristine vinyl contained inside (the vinyl's edge is just barely visible as a ring on the upper portion of the cover). The cover design of the album is one of the most brilliant ever conceived and realized in the history of record album graphic design: A couple's tender kiss forms into one large, red-dominant, and wide-open mouth. The music is "Oh, Ah, Yeah!" and "Ooh?", two instrumental tracks in the same vein as Pigbag, Maximum Joy, and Rip Rig and…
