It is written in an easy to read style. Of course the trolley in the form of light rail light rail has made an astonishing comeback in the US and elsewhere in the past thirty years, but this did not seem likely in the 1950s - indeed the ending of the book is an epitaph for the trolley. The book maybe compared with W H Middleton's 'Time of the Trolley" published 5 years later; again before the light rail revolution. Although dated, Trolley Car Treasury is a useful guide to any one with an interest in the history of this form of street transport.
