About This Item
Mexico City, Mexico: Privately Printed By the Composer, 1974. First Edition . Soft cover. Very Good Plus. 13" x 18. An adventurous Piano Trio by this great Mexican composer. Enriquez was one of the first to break from the established aesthetic of Mexican Nationalism, opting for a more cosmopolitan modernism aligned with the European avant-garde. The score is in two movements, designated quarter = 60 & quarter = 50. Enriquez incorporates graphic, non-traditional notation and "chance" operations in this work. 10 large pages, including a page of special notation explanations and performance instructions (in Spanish and English). CONDITION: an unmarked, uncreased copy with minimal shelf-wear, its pages somewhat tanned (as to be expected for music scores reproduced using the old Ozalid process). The score has been punched for a plastic comb binding and a fresh one will be supplied along with the score - which has been gently folded horizontally (to 13" x 9") for shelving and shipping. It is now nestled in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with backing board.
