Good+ (overall wear to both volume boards and block edges with heavy wear to Volume 2 upper spine, inscription to previous owner on fly leaf of both volumes). Two volume set, red boards with black and gilt lettering and designs. Volume 1 has bw frontispiece of Paul Marcoy, 524 pp. Volume 2 has bw frontispiece, 496 pp. Both volumes together contain 525 illustrations, 10 maps, portraits. Both volumes all edge gilt. Illustrated by five hundred and twenty-five engravings on wood drawn E. Riou and ten maps from drawings by the author . Translation of Voyage à travers l'Amérique du Sud, de l'Océan Pacifique à l'Océan Atlantique. Originally published serially in Le Tour du Monde; t. 6-16, 1862-67. A scarce set.
