This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the first edition, a posthumous issue. Two volumes bound as one. Full leather binding of polished calf. waving rule to covers; five raised bands; stamped titling on the spine, with gilt decorations. The ends of the covers have gilt decoration. Clean text; 492 pages, with a seven-page index. Marbled endpapers Light wear; a slight splay. A rather lovely volume that presents very well indeed.. First Edition. Full-Leather.
