Dampstained on lower portions of front and rear panels and portions of rear fore-edge, most prominently along bottom front edge, does not extend to interior, slightly downgrading a copy that otherwise presents as solid VG to VG+. Portions of top text block edge (dyed orange) discolored. iv,216,[iv] pp., illus. endpapers, b&w frontis. Interior slightly toned but otherwise intact. Verso of front flyleaf shows child's pencilled gift inscription accompanied by several names. Dust jacket shows loss through portions of title on top front edge, at spine extremities and corners, with rubbed flap folds and light to moderate soiling, but is still in one piece, mostly complete with total loss less than 5%, and retaining vibrant original color, now in mylar..

216pp plus ads, later edition with 'House on Wheels' last title listed, dustjacket edgeworn, spine faded and thin strip torn off front panel, illustrated cloth covers really bright, plain white endpapers, inscription on flyleaf otherwise unmarked.

Jacket has some general edgewear with some chipping at extremities. Lettering on spine of jacket faded, and barely visible. Early quad jacket that matches book cover in red and green colors.
