About This Item
NY: A. L. Burt Company, 1916. Reprint. Hardcover_cloth. Collectible - VeryGood. May Wilson Preston. 5.13"x7.75" 372 pp, 3 advert leafs. Tan cloth boards. Gilt letters w/embossed lady in red dress & hat on front. Gilt letters to spine. Frontispiece "Get the Canoe and follow. I'm heading for Island Eleven." Spine straight, binding tight, pages clean w/slight tone. Not x-library, & unmarked. Minor rubs to corners w/bit of fraying. Small bump to TRCs. Tish is about as good as it gets in the department of lightweight reading fun. Letitia Carberry, known as Tish, is a middle-aged woman whose specialty seems to be trying out any and every new activity with great enthusiasm, particularly things involving motors and the great outdoors. Her two friends, sentimental Aggie and matter-of-fact Lizzie, who narrates the stories, are not always enthusiastic but loyally allow themselves to be dragged along. Source: Publisher.
