H.F. & G. Witherby., 1972. 1st. Ltd. Ed.. pp.xv, 407 with colour plates, b/w. photos. and map. Large 8vo. TEG. Contents fine, no inscriptions. This copy from the specially bound edition, signed by the author, and limited to 65 copies of which this is No. 3. Bound in half-leather over red cloth boards by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, with raised bands to spine, all in nr fine condition. A superb work dedicated to Frank Ludlow. Divided into two parts, the first is of general interest, the second presents the data. In his acknowledgements Vaurie first thanks Ludlow whose unrivalled experience and knowledge in southern Tibet he openly shared with the author.
