Octavo in publisher's original embossed chocolate cloth extensively decorated in gilt and black. 384 pages, plus 40 pages of publisher's advertisements. 12 charming full page black and white line illustrations by H. M Paget. Corners bumped with small worn areas to cloth, hinges neatly strengthened, previous owner's name in pencil to flyleaf. Boys' adventure tale centred on the uprisings by traditional craftsmen opposing industrialisation.
