New York: Farrar & Rinehart, 1938. Hardcover. Fair. 124p. A hardcover book in good condition with a tattered dustjacket. Stains on front cover, light soiling and tape stains on endpapers, and front hinge shaken. Pages still tightly bound, and text unmarked. The jacket is badly torn; about haf of the front panel is gone, and there are bits of old tape on the back. The flaps have been taped to the inside covers of the book. A vintage children's book about the adventures of a farm girl, featuring numerous illustrations, including a few color plates.

Synopsis

Thimble Summer is a novel by Elizabeth Enright that won the 1939 Newbery Medal. It is set in Depression-era rural Wisconsin.
