About This Item

New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1898 . First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Poor. 7" by 4.5". None. The scarce first edition of this translation of romantic fiction by Felix Gras in the original glassine dust wrapper. First edition of The Terror A Romance of the French Revolution by Felix Gras in the original publisher's cloth binding and glassine dust wrapper. Translated from the Provencal of Gras by Catherine A. Janvier. Gras came from a humble farming family in Southern France, and developed a passion for poetry and literature while studying law. In the original publisher's cloth binding and glassine dust wrapper. The dust wrapper is fragile and will worsen with further handling. It has complete loss to the spine and some of the rear board. Externally, smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Very Good
