viii+376 pages with bibliography and index. Octavo (8 1/2" x 5 3/4") bound in original publisher's brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine in original publisher's jacket. First edition. This work by Ron Linton is unlike any other book on environment or conservation published at that date. It was written to give an understandable overview of conditions as they existed, and explain what might be done to reduced assaults on our personalities and our surroundings. Condition: Corners bumped. Jacket small closed tears at spine extremities, corners rubbed, small hip at front head else a very good copy in like jacket.
