London : Chapman & Hall, Limited; and Humphrey Milford. Full Leather. Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Various Illustrators. A part-set of Charles Dickens' illustrated works in the publisher's deluxe binding of full red leather with gilt titling and decoration to spines. Top edges gilt, silken bookmarkers. Pocket editions (if you have largish pockets) measuring 6¾'' x 4¼''. Ten volumes, three of which contain numerous titles. Printed on thin paper. Illustrated in b/w by various artists including Cruikshank and 'Phiz,'. No dates but c. 1910. The books are in varying conditions but good overall with one poor copy (Martin Chuzzlewit) and the majority being very good. Fading to spines on some vols; light rubbing; bookplates or tipped in gift cards to all bar Bleak House. Minor soiling to page edges and minor spotting to endpapers but contents clean. All firmly bound. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Damage to Chuzzlewit: top corner of lower board broken off; half of back free endpaper and last three sheets (affecting postscript and last three pages of text) torn away; damp stain to next page (verso of illustration).
