Dust jacket has clipped rear flap; residue from sticker removal at top of author's photo on back; light soiling; top and bottom of jacket at spine are reinforced on the inside; is now in new removable protective cover. Beige cloth covered boards with black print on spine and front; boards are worn with light soiling and bumped corners; SF written in black library marker on spine. Illustrated endpapers (maps of Poloda). The leaf containing page 215 / 216, together with the illustration between p. 214 and p. 215, appear to be professionally tipped in at some point after the book was initially bound. Canaveral Press hard cover with dust jacket, 1974 printing of 1964 edition, 283 pages, illustrated by Roy G. Krenkel. 8vo (8"" x 5.5"") Introduction by Ruchard A. Lupoff. Omnibus of a short novel Beyond the Farthest Star, with two novelettes: The Resurrection of Jimber-Jaw, and The Wizard of Venus (the final story in the Venus series).

Synopsis

Tales of Three Planets is a posthumous collection of short stories by Edgar Rice Burroughs, with an introduction by Richard A. Lupoff and illustrations by Roy G. Krenkel. It was first published in hardcover in 1964 by Canaveral Press, and has been reprinted once since. The book collects four novelettes by Burroughs, one set on Earth, two set on the distant planet Poloda "beyond the farthest star," and one set on Venus.
