Green cloth binding with gilt-stamped leather spine labels and sprinkled edges. Engraved frontispiece and additional engraved title page. Frontispiece engraved by Illman after a painting by van Dyke depicting portrait of James Graham, Marquis of Montrose, in his dress armour. Title page engraving by Illman shows July 23, 1638 attacks on Dean of the City and Bishop in High Church of St. Giles, Edinburg. ; 24mo 5" - 6" tall; 332 pages .
