Small octavo (7 5/8 X 5 1/4 inches) Los Angeles: Warren T. Potter, Publisher and Bookmaker, 1916. First Edition, 205 pages, cover design and illustrations by Howard Willard, typography by Taylor's Printery, inscribed by the author to Cornelius C. Cole (a Representative and Senator from California), decorated cloth, very good condition (bookplate of former owner on front pastedown).
The author was a prominent magazine writer. A collection of 18 stories originally appearing in several periodicals of the period: Illustrated Weekly Magazine of the Los Angeles Times, Sunset, Out West, and others.
