Spine of jacket says 'No 54'. Binding remains firm. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Minor dog-eared corners. Small stain to edge of page 188 not affecting text. Endpapers have strips of tanning caused by jacket. Sporadic heavy foxing. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends. Slight wear and marks overall. Traces of paper adhering to head of spine. Book has a pronounced forward lean. Gilt is bright. Unclipped jacket has heavy edgewear with areas of loss, heavy tears, chips, and creasing. Tears to flap folds. Light tanning and water staining to spine and edges. Some foxing, heaviest to flaps.
