Hurd and Houghton, 1871. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1871. No Edition Remarks. 234 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. front free endpaper is missing. Ex-Library copy, with expected embossing and inscriptions. Pages are moderately tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Heavy cracking to hinges and gutters, with exposed netting. Binding is mostly firm. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with notable bumping and scuffing to corners, and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing and fraying to spine ends. Book has a pronounced forward lean. Small split to spine end.
