i am usually a great fan of charlotte lamb, but this one i didnt care for.the scene in which he slapped her "till her head almost snapped off her neck" and then slapped her again i found very offensive.and never did he apologise.considering that he told her he would have forgiven her for the cheating,i think it was hypocritical of him to then be slapping her.that is abuse and i think the author needed to acknowledge that.also, when he demanded at the end that she not go visit her father, but he must come to her,was also very arrogant and spoke of his insecurities and lack of trust and respect for her.i agree with the father-men like him view women as possessions, and all the sex appeal in the world shouldnt disguise that or domestic violence.that she was the one who went to him in the middle of the night instead of having him come to her was not in any way romantic to me.sorry, but ms.lamb drop the ball with this one to me.handsome he may have been, charming?not.just egotistical
