Nicely illustrated vintage copy of "SPANISH DOLLARS" by Reginald Wright Kauffman. 1927; The Penn Publishing Company; Philadelphia. The book is nicely illustrated with a color frontispiece, full-page plates, and black & white illustrations at the beginning of the chapters. "Being Further Passages from the Memoirs of Nicholas Rountree; These Relating Chiefly to the American Colonists' Expedition against Louisburg, Cape Breton, A.D. 1745: Extracted out of the Rowntree Family Papers & now First Published to the World."
From a review: "Nicholas Rountree, the hero of the 'Ranger of the Susquehannock' at the time previous to the attack on Louisberg, discovers by accident a French spy, and is drawn into the midst of conflict."
Condition:
Clean covers and spine; small cloth tears at the top of the spine; the bottom edge of the spine is worn down. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Tiny cloth tears at the corner tips. Nice interior - the pages are clean and nearly appear unread with only a few random smudges found, and a 3/4" tear at the bottom edge page 47. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
